Natalya Berchenko
 
Deputy Director of Economic Research Institute, Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus 
 
Natalya Berchenko graduated Vitebsk Technological Institute of Light Industry in 1991. After that, she completed her post-graduate studies at SSE “Economic Research Institute of the Ministry of Economy” majoring in Economy and Management of National Economy and receiving PhD in Economics.
 
From March 1996 to May 2004, Ms. Berchenko had worked as Research Associate at SSE “Economic Re-search Institute of the Ministry of Economy of the RB” (Vitebsk Branch); from September 2004 to September 2005 – as Deputy Director of SSE “Vitebsk Research Center of Regional Development”; from September 2005 to February 2007 – as Senior Research Associate of the same Center. In February 2007, Ms. Berchenko took the position of Director of PRCUE “Vitebsk Center of Regional Research and Development”, and in March 2007 – the position of Manager of Vitebsk Oblast Center of Economic Research Institute of the Ministry of Economy. Since January 2016, Natalya Berchenko has been working in the capacity of Deputy Scientific Director of Economic Research Institute of the Ministry of Economy of Belarus.

Alexander Chubrik

Director of IPM Research Center

Alexander Chubrik has been working at IPM Research Center since its establishment (December 1999), and as its Director since September 2011.
 
Mr. Chubrik graduated the Economy Department of the Belarusian State University (2000) and completed the post-graduate course “Economic Theory” (2003).  In 2000-2004, he taught economy-related disciplines at the Belarusian State University, and in 2009 – at the European Humanities University.  In 2007-2012, Mr. Chubrik had worked as CASE Belarus (Poland) Deputy Director, and since 2009 – as Senior Research Associate of CASE Foundation’s Center for Social and Economic Research (Poland).  From De-cember 2009 to January 2010, Mr. Chubrik served as Economic Advisor at the Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan under the “Advisory Service for Macroeconomic Management and Institutional Reform” Project implemented by CASE Foundation, and headed the same Project from February 2011 to January 2012.
 
Research interests: economic growth, poverty and social integration, labor market, macroeconomic modelling, applied econometrics, development of countries with economies in transition.

Anton Dolgovechni

Associate Expert at IPM Research Center

Anton Dolgovechni graduated the Management Department of the Academy of Management under the President of the Republic of Belarus majoring in “Economy and Production Management” (1997) and completed the post-graduate course “World Economy” (2000). In 2009, Mr. Dolgovechni completed the master-level program “Economic Policy” at Williams College, USA.
 
In 1997-2008, Mr. Dolgovechni had worked in the capacity of economist, adviser, and department head in the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus.  In 2011-2012, he served as Deputy Head and Head of the Macroeconomic Analysis and Forecasting Department with the Ministry of Economy of Belarus. During 2012-2016, Mr. Dolgovechni had worked in the capacity of Senior Manager of the Financial Loans Project Group under the Eurasian Stabilization and Development Fund of the Eurasian Development Bank.
 
Research interests: balance of payments, currency policy, financial sector, monetary policy, economic in-tegration.

Gleb Shymanovich graduated the Belarusian National Technical University (2006), completed the master program “Corporate Economics” (2007) and a post-graduate course at the Institute of Economy of the Na-tional Academy of Sciences of Belarus (2010), where he had continued his work as junior researcher until 2011.
 
Mr. Shymanovich has been working at IPM Research Center since 2006 and co-authors “Belarus Infrastructure Monitor”, “Monthly Review of Belarus Economy”, “Belarus: Macroeconomic Forecast” Bulletin, Annual Reviews “Poverty and Social Integration in Belarus”, “Belarus Business: State, Trends, Prospects” and other publications by the Center.
 
Research interests: social policy, external debt, public finance.
 
Marina Borovko
 
Vice Chair, Association of European Business Belarus
 
Marina Borovko holds PhD in Economics and works as Associate Professor in the Belarusian State Uni-versity.
 
Her field of expertise includes management, project management, and analytics.  Ms. Borovko possesses over 7 years of research and analytical experience and over 4 years of managing UNDP and EU international technical assistance projects.
 
Ms. Borovko speaks English and Japanese.
